The club opens at 4pm for Happy Hour. The grill will be open tonite and Jeppy McDowell will teach shag lessons. If you think you’ve got the beat then come on down and if you think you don’t then Terry can fix that. Just get here a little early. It’s May 5th ya’ll and I hear that Terry has taught the Mexican’s to shag! Guess They are shagging on the streets of Cozmel today celebrating Cinco de Mayo! We are going to celebrate too! Come see what we have special. Not going to tell you, you must come see. I would like to take this time to congratulate Bill and Michelle on their wedding day. We have a private party in the back room from 4 until 7pm! Later on in the evening one of our wonderful DJ’s (that’s a surprise too), will rock the world in the world famous Fat Harold’s booth! We are back to normal and dancing and toddies are our business! There should be plenty of room on the floor for you to do your thang! Yesterday I had a comment on my post in which I used some of my out-of-the-box humor, that was misconstrued. I did not have a DJ posted because I don’t know who is playing cause I have not received the DJ schedule so I just played around. The CALENDAR is updated as I receive my information. The old timers who invented the dance always told me, “If you can’t shag in tennis shoes, flip flops or BAREFOOT then you weren’t a very good shagger. I have seen a lot of them do it, so I believe it! Sorry this man doesn’t agree, but I have had comments that he doesn’t agree on before. This is Fat Harold’s Beach Club and will be until the day his name comes off of the building and he appreciates your business but until you can put your money where your mouth is, I think we can run the business. I have been put in charge of the web blogs and calendar and will do so until I am told different. Now, there will be pork chops in the grill today with rice and gravy, green beans and cornbread. The Fun Team will make sure you have a good time, only if you truly know how to have a good time. DJ David Harris will be playing the music if that is OK with you. Hope you will drive 62 miles to come see him and you can wear your shoes. It’s OK! If my little bit of daily humor bothers the readers of this blog don’t read it. Simple as that. I surely wouldn’t want to cause someone to stroke out because they think they have to dance barefooted. Guess I better get to work to see what else is in store for The Fun Team today. Are you ready? Lulu opens at 11am and she’s got a lunch special (not quite sure which yet) She will not let you down. It is also Dance Party night. Get those shoes ready or come barefooted. The GROOVIN BAND tonite at 8pm. These guys are fantastic. Be here.We are proud to have donated several million dollars to “our charity” Camp Kemo. Well today is the day to do it again! We have some fantastic auction items. One of which I will speak of is the quilt of the decade. It is a quilt designed by Vicki West’s friend. It has all of your favorite beach bands on it and the best thing about it is everyone one of the tshirts featured is autographed by every band member. This is a classic folks. Also Becky Stowe has done another fabulous treat which I will not tell you about. You must come and see this one. Becky I love the frame! The grill will open at 11am. The auction gets underway around 1pm. We will have special guests throughout the auction raising their share of money for Camp Kemo. Just remember this: It takes $500 to send a kid to camp. Memories to be made and kept for years or months or some a few weeks. We have this large place in our hearts and Fat Harold has so much love for these kids. Let’s make this our biggest and bestest yet. We look forward to seeing you today. For those of you who have to leave, have a safe trip, Thank You for your patronage and we’ll see you next time!
