FAT HAROLD’S BEACH MUSIC EXTRAVAGANZA, TODAY!

The roads are fine and everyone is working like little beavers as I write to get ready for today’s BEACH MUSIC EXTRAVAGANZA! Wasn’t the snow just beautiful and melting away for another gorgeous day. The grill opens at 11am. Come grab a bite to eat before the doors open to the big room open at 12:30. Show starts at 1pm. DJ’s Ray Scott, Gary Bass and Joey Warren are your hosts for today. Many kudos to Ray Scott for taking the bull by the hoofs and making today the great success that it’s going to be. When you see him, Thank him. He has worked very, very hard on this project. The bands for today’s festivities are CWB, SEA CRUZ and JIM QUICK & COASTLINE! The cover is a $10 donation that will be given to The HALL OF FAME FOUNDATION to help out anyone who has a financial need in our huge family. Come on out and join in the fun. Afterwards the bar will remain open and DJ “Jammin” Jimmy Buffkin will close out the nite. Since tomorrow is a holiday let’s keep him up late. OK? We will see you shortly. FAT HAROLD’S REUNION & DAVID TOWNSEND FUNDRAISER!

Schedule for today’s events: Doors open at 11am. BBQ will start at 1pm, $5.00 donation; Steve Pethel and Band go on stage at 2pm and play until 4pm; Auction items and 50/50 drawing during the afternoon. Reunion attendees pick up wristband and nametag at 5pm; cocktails and horderves starting at 6pm; Prizes for some and a sharing of MOMENTS starting to follow. DJ Jimmy Buffkin will be the DJ this evening! Come out and dance to Jimmy’s music. We hope you all can make it to Fat Harold’s today. We look forward to seeing you. DJ DAVID HARRIS IN THE BOOTH TONITE!

The Fat Man’s House will be jumpin’ tonight with DJ David Harris in the booth. But first, Mama Brenda will open the grill bar at 4pm for The Daily Board Meeting! The Junior Shag & Social will be held today at 2pm and will last until 4pm. This is a private function. The club will NOT be open to the public until 4pm. We would like to Thank Pat Folds, Mimi Benedict and the other volunteers who really want to keep our dance alive by teaching these wonderful kids, THE SHAG! As we enter the Christmas Season let’s not forget those less fortunate than us. We have the Yachts for Tots box at the front door and if you can put just a little something in it, some little child or doggy or kitty will have a great Christmas too! You can bring it on the night of the Customer Appreciation Christmas Party on December 12. You must have a ticket and a toy or cat food or dog food to get in! That’s the Fat Man’s rule and we are sticking to it! Don’t forget the club will be CLOSED on Sunday and Monday throughout the month of December except the very last ones which will be part of the New Year’s Eve Extravaganza, so we will see you all the rest of the nights. Memorial Fundraiser for Our Friend Billy Scott

A Memorial Fundraiser for Our Friend Billy Scott will be held on Friday Night, November 23rd right here at Fat Harold’s Beach Club. We would like for you to join us and The Craig Woolard Band to raise some much needed monies to offset some of the outrageous hospital and care bills that have accumulated during his illness. DJ Ray Scott is going to Emcee and Craig, who will be singing at Billy’s funeral, will ask for your donations throughout the night’s performance. Let’s help take care of a soul who took care of us for so many years. Without people such as Billy Scott, there would be NO Beach Music today. Own A PIECE OF HISTORY!

OWN A PIECE OF SHAG HISTORY at your favorite shag club! We were approached by Kimberly Faith Johnson Madden, about offering our fans a way to give a gift or have their name forever become a part of shag history on the strand. We thought it was a FABULOUS idea!

Here is how it works. Reach out to Kim who has volunteered to organize this effort at history@fatharolds.com or stop by our lobby to talk with her friday from 2 – 4 p.m. or Saturday from 1-3. Either way, let her know if you want a premium 4 x 5 PREMIUM plaque placed right up on the main bar – only 90 spaces available here for $500 each. First few spaces being auctioned at Camp Chemo so first come, first served.

Other options include GOLD spaces which are 4 x 5 plaques placed on the front of your favorite sitting place in the club for $150 each or the CLASSIC level which is a small 4 x 2 plaque placed on top of one of the various seating areas for $50 each. There is an option for every level of interest!

Kim selected a Premium option for her father’s 70th birthday since he was one of Fat Harold’s biggest fans. Who in your world would be grateful to have their legend live on??

GRAND FINALE, PARKING LOT PARTY TODAY!

It’s the Parking Lot Party featuring JIM QUICK & COASTLINE and BLACKWATER RHYTHM & BLUES, today at 5pm! Our 4th of July GRAND FINALE! We hope you will come. The club will open at 4pm so come on out and bring your chairs, umbrellas and fans. We are gonna have a good ole time. Special Guests, THE CANINE ANGELS, will be here for you to meet and show you how much smarter they are than you!!! Just a little joke but these guys are very special to very, very special people! COLD BEER will be everywhere around the lot and for those of you who are hungry or want a mixed drink the club will be wide open! You know how cold the beer is in the grill bar!! Are you glad that Friday decided to get here? You are coming to spend it at Fat Harold’s, right? If not, you are surely going to miss a good time. It’s Hall of Fame weekend and you just might catch some of those great inventors or I might say mentors now of our great dance “The Shag”! We are going to shag the night away to the tunes of DJ Lanny Elmore this evening. So get those shoes out and get on down to Fat Harold’s Beach Club! The best Beach Club on the planet! Fat Harold, Shannon, Joy and The Fun Team welcome you with open arms. Lulu has Pork Chops in The Shag City Grill today, plain grilled or grilled teriyaki! It’s A Thirsty Kind of Thursday!

It’ a thirsty Thursday and The Shag City Grill will be open first at 11am so you can quench that thirst and maybe even have a Hamburger Steak and FF. Then it’s on to Happy Hour at 4pm til 7pm when Little Judy Duke takes over the dance floor to teach “Shag Lessons”. Get here a few minutes early and sign up. Lessons are only $10 per person. When she finishes DJ Lanny Elmore will keep you on the floor with his great music. Don’t forget we have plenty of room for you to come in and practice for The Keepers of the Dance Contest being held this weekend. There will be a $5 cover charge both Friday and Saturday nites. Also on Sunday we have the Hall of Fame Foundation Extravaganza featuring CWB and a lot of guests. This is a fund raiser for our Shag families in need. Admission is $10 per person or you can buy a table. This is always a great party. Hope to see you this weekend at Fat Harold’s Beach Club.
