The Shag City Grill is Open Today!

fat haroldsThe Shag City Grill is open today at 11am. Our newest employee, Jim, is cooking up some Pan-Fried Fish, FF, Slaw and Beverage for just $6.50. He is a really good cook, if I have to say so myself. Come and join us for lunch. Today is Hump Day aka Customer Appreciation Day at Fat Harold’s Beach Club. We gather on Wednesday nites to dance, drink and have a mid- week break from the daily grind. We are getting into the summer months, business is picking up and we are grateful for all of our Fat Harold’s family and friends. This will be your home when all the rest gone. Don’t forget our doors are always WIDE OPEN for you. Plan for Jeanette’s Line Dance lessons on Thursday nite. We sure would like to have the floor packed. The DJ for this evening is Randal Hight. Randal comes to us from the Raleigh area. He and his beautiful wife Ann have been friends and family of Fat Harold’s for a long time and now have moved to the beach to join us permanently. The man has got the music in him, just come and listen! May you have shells in your pockets and SAND in your shoes! Love You, Mean IT!

FREE SHAG LESSONS TONITE, 7PM!

fat harold 2How is everybody out there in Shag Land? We are great down here at the beach. Just missing you. Today the club will open at 4pm with Lil Terry. The Shag City Grill will also be open so you can get some of those juicy Cheeseburgers and Blackened Bologna sandwiches on our new Char-Grill! We are back to normal and the food is fantastic. Do you want to learn the basic Shag or brush up on those steps you learned so long ago. Well tonite is the nite! Jeppy and Nikki will turn you little feet into magic tonite at 7pm! This is a great class, starting with a little history about the shag and ending with YOU doing at least the basic steps, if not more. DJ David Harris will be in the booth to play for the class and keep you going long after class is over. You don’t have any excuses for not showing up. Just get in the car and drive down here or walk if you prefer to the World Famous Fat Harold’s Beach Club. We’ve been featured on The Travel Channel with Samantha Brown, yes she took shag lessons right on this same floor, The Food Channel, Shag City TV, TV 33, and numerous other television and radio shows. We’ve been featured in numerous magazine and newspaper articles and also a few books have been written about or included segments of our club. We have facebook friends from England, Australia, Japan and even South Africa. We are world renowned. So step through our doors in to a little piece of history and learn our state dance “The Shag”, tonite! You’ll be glad you did! PEACE, LOVE and SANDY FEET! Love YOU, Mean IT!

DANCERSThe club opens today at 4pm with Mama Brenda as your hostess with the mostess! Judy Duke teaches her shag lessons at 7pm accompanied by our own “Shadow” DJ Milton White. We are half way through June, it sure doesn’t feel like it does it? Check the calendar of events for June. It’s all filled out and I hope I haven’t left anything out. Please come down and join us this evening to help him celebrate. 6pm to get a great seat. FREE Hotdogs and Birthday Cake at 7pm and a very special surprise or two after that. All of our available house DJ’s will be playing and roasting him throughout the evening. SHAG CITY GRILL, OPEN TODAY AT 11AM!

hamburgerYou read it right. The Shag City Grill will re-open today at 11am. Jim, the newest member of The Fun Team will be cooking and serving up drinks for you and Lulu will be there for moral support and help if he get’s too busy. It’s Hump Day or Customer Appreciation Day at Fat Harold’s and we DO appreciate everything you do for us, so come on in all day long, have a cold one, and try our NEW French Fries. They are SO good and if you don’t believe me just ask Zackary! He has fell slap head over heels in love with them. The Grill will be open on Wed., Thurs., Fri., and Sat. at 11am until closing and Tues. nights opening at 5pm! We are taking away and adding to the menu. Come join us for some Good Eats! Be on the lookout for our NEW ONLINE STORE. Sorry we can’t sell food or alcohol on it but it will surely have every thing else we can get a Fat Harold’s logo on. Our little group is heading to Camp Kemo today to present our check for this year and have fun with the campers, pray that they have a safe journey there and back. Keep the Broadway family in your prayers and anyone else that you know in our Shag family that is going through a difficult time. Miracles DO happen! We are looking forward to a GREAT SUMMER and we want you to be a part of it. Debbie and Shannon will be on the main bar tonite, Jim on the grill and DJ “Jammin” Jimmy Buffkin will be in the booth. I will be in the office and I know I am looking forward to seeing all of my good buddies when they come in. The FATMAN’S Birthday Party starts at 6pm tomorrow night (Thursday). Hotdogs will be served at 7pm, followed by cake and many surprises. You really don’t want to miss his 80th birthday celebration. We still have a few of The Fat Man’s books left to sell and tomorrow nite would be a great time to buy one and have him sign it. (hint, hint) They would make a great Father’s Day Present. Shag Lessons with Judy Duke!

DANCERSThe club will open today at 4pm with Mama Brenda slinging the drinks and enlightening your afternoon and evening. DJ Milton White will be accompanying Judy with her Shag Lessons that begin promptly at 7pm. Anybody who wants to learn to shag can at least learn the basics on Monday or Tuesday nites. You haven’t been to the beach unless you been to Fat Harold’s and learned the basic shag steps. PS. FATMAN’S Birthday Party, Thursday, 6pm! Don’t forget. He hasn’t forgotten YOU. Love YOU, Mean IT!
