How about somethin’ new? We’re gonna start introducin’ you to your FUN TEAM on Sundays. We all THINK we know the guys and gals we interact with at the Fat Man’s House…but REALLY? We’ve asked them all a series of the same questions and hope you find this fun and interesting. Our first FUN TEAM member is Shannon Cox. You’ll see Shannon all over the club, but mostly in the Shag City Grill. She started working at Fat Harold’s in 2005 and is originally from Chapmanville, West Virginia. Here goes: 1. Describe the funniest interaction you’ve had with a customer at FH. Shannon: A lady came in looking for a man and described him as being “mid 60’s with salt & pepper hair”. I asked her “have you looked around here?” She described a majority of the clientele in the club that night. 2. What do you see yourself doing 5 years from now? Shannon: Traveling all over the US in an RV with my husband. 3. How would you describe yourself? Shannon: Kind, caring, smart, upbeat and opinionated. 4. Do you have any pets? Shannon: One dog, Scarlette…she’s a shepherd…and one cat, Coco…and I don’t even like cats! 5. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Shannon: Either the first woman Governor of West Virginia….or Mary Lou Retton. 6. Your favorite hangout when you were a teenager? Shannon: The local roller skating rink. 7. How long have you been on the beach? Shannon: 20 years. 8. Favorite music, dance or band in high school? Shannon: ANY heavy metal “hair” band! 9. Your first job & how old were you? Shannon: Sales at Dan & Dave’s Sporting Goods…I was 15 years old and it was my dad’s business. 10. What’s the funniest thing that ever happened to you in your lifetime? Shannon: In 1988, I just got a brand new LeBaron convertible..the police pulled me over on the boulevard in Myrtle Beach. I had the top down and my brother & his friend were sitting up on the back of my car. The officer told them “This ain’t no parade & you ain’t no beauty queens” 11. What do you like to do in your spare time? Shannon: Shop or sleep! And spend time with my beautiful daughters and my husband. 12. Most embarrassing moment in your lifetime? Shannon: I was the Resort Manager at a timeshare resort for Wyndham…We were having our daily employee meeting. I was wearing a skirt and it wa a “little” loose. As I was trying to give the team a pep talk my skirt hit the floor leaving me standing there in pantyhose & boots! 13. Is there ANYTHING you would like to do or accomplish in your life that you haven’t done? Shannon: I want to drive a race car as fast as I possibly can around Lowe’s Motor Speedway! 14. Can you share something personal that most folks probably don’t know about you? Shannon: My IQ is 135. I guess I could be a member of MENSA? Most might say I’m more of a “smart ass” than a genius! now you know a little bit about our Shannon. Look for her and say “hey” next time you’re in the club! BACK TO BUSINESS!
