Dear family and friends…it’s hard to lose a loved one. We are in shock and having a hard time absorbing the news of the death of our brother…Gary Franklin Bass…I will post a tribute when God gives me the words and I can process what has happened. Words can’t express at this time what we feel. Please pray for Robin and his family and his Fat Harold’s family🙏🏻😢 Thanks for the memories Jerry Franklin. Another spoke of the original wheel is gone💔

We lost a GREAT one! The master of ceremonies at the Fat Man’s House has left us. Growing up a shagger in Laurinburg it was always the biggest treat to have the legendary Gary Bass come to town and spin the best tunes and entertain us with the upmost talent and professionalism. To be a part of the Fat Harold’s team later in life with Coastline was simply amazing to work by his side. Sending prayers and love to Robin and the rest of my Fat Man’s family. Miss you already G

Gary Bass is gone.
When I think about Fat Harold’s Beach Club, Mr. Harold and Gary are the first faces I see in my mind’s eye. Gary sponsored the Craig Woolard Band.
He took Debbie and me to a special dinner at the Angus Barn.
I won’t forget you, Gary Bass.
